Hey Gang,

Still have 6 spaces open!  Make your reservation today.

This WILL be the year we find a SABINE'S GULL!!!!

OK, I had to put that out there. We've had a dry spell the last couple years so we're due!

Hope to see you there!

Hey Gang,

Finally, I've tallied up the list for the IOS field trip to Carlyle Lake on 19 September. I have 5 lists for birds encountered at the following locations, Carlyle Lake, Jim Hawn Access, Hazlet State Park, Parking Lot 3 and Bond County (Carlyle Lake).

If anyone has any questions please don't hesitate to ask. I know a few species may appear to have been left off, but during discussions with trip participants, several species mentioned/called out, during the trip, ended up being scratched off the list before the trip ended because a better view was desired on those particular sightings.

Thanks to all the participants who helped make this trip what it was....a successful birding adventure on a great fall weather day!  Also, a special thanks to my pontoon captains, (Craig, Richard and Steve).

Hope to see you all next year!

Good birdings,
