Cabo San Lucas

I went to Cabo San Lucas for vacation, but had a little time to do some birding. I stayed at the Riu Palace and within short walking distance from the resort was a nice big desert area, beach area, and rocky outcroppings. There were very few people around and I always felt very safe. I would recommend for birding and a vacation  :)

Two female Surf Scoters, apparently these are unusual there as it came up as rare on eBird:

I am not really sure how unusual Surf Scoters are in Cabo San Lucas, but I thought it was very cool that most likely these same birds were seen probably moving around the peninsula and three different people (me on the 20th) managed to get photographs (the last person only saw one):
